Running Wild

What? McCain wants to run again? No way. Who woulda seen that coming?

So maybe all his reasonable 'compromise' to save the Senate (and country) from destruction is just a pre-election PR stunt.

2 Years?

2 years ago this blog started - not really an important date, but I thought I'd mention it.

Still running on the same little php script I wrote that night. Hopefully that'll change soon. (Yeah, Eric. You still waiting?)

Newseum

Came across the Newseum's site today - it's a privately owned museum of news, was so popular that after 5 years at Arlington they closed to move across the river into DC. Anyway, I thought their Today's Front Pages online 'display' was pretty cool.

Continental Divide

"Africa is worth fighting for. Europe, in its present form, is not."

"Europe is back to the drawing board. Africa will become more important."

Happy Birthday

Hey, Happy Birthday to me. Hard to believe it's been a year since this last happened. Well, maybe not that hard.

Was browsing through Picasa yesterday, looking for a photo I took - doing that sorta condensed the last 2 and a half years of my life. Weird. Some things seemed farther away then they were, while others seemed to have gone by too fast. Life's like that.

Anyway - before I get too introspective: Thanks to everyone that called, e-mailed, sent a card, or used any other medium to express nice thoughts and happy wishes today - I'd give you all a piece of the cake, but really, I couldn't divide it evenly. So I guess I'll have to eat it myself.

Sure It Is

Now, this is just wrong - just came into my inbox (and The Kid's):

Turn on your TV. Osama Bin Laden has been captured. While CNN has no pictures at this point of time, the military channel (PPV) released some pictures. I managed to capture a couple of these pictures off my TV. Ive attached a slideshow containing all the pictures I managed to capture. I apologize for the low quality, its the best I could do at this point of time. Hopefully CNN will have pictures and a video soon. God bless the USA! Guillermo Gonzalez

I tried to open the attached zip file, but it didn't seem to work.
